Funky Monkey Photography studio is centrally located in the beautiful isthmus near the heart of Madison. You’ll find them at the architecturally unique building at 203 South Paterson Street where visitors are greeted by a pair of 2-story-tall metal bird sculptures.

You’re welcome to schedule a complimentary in-studio consultation with the photographer prior to your session to plan your session together, from outfits to locations and anything else that would make your experience special.

After your portrait session, you’re invited back to our studio to a special presentation of your portraits and any assistance and expertise we can provide you to choose products that suit your needs. You’ll have the opportunity to personally see the many home display ideas for your photographs including canvas wraps, Story Frames, Story Books, jewelry, and other custom photography products. Our studio is bursting with boutique samples for you to peruse.

While not all sessions are held at our studio, the children that come to our studio seem to never want to leave. And that’s a good thing. It means they had so much fun playing! You see, our studio isn’t a traditional photography studio; we’re not about generic backdrops or faux props; there is never a need for a feather duster tickler or the words “Cheese.”  Silly giggles and spontaneous laughter are more like it! Kids dig hanging out in our fun place with plush sofas and colorful toys. The studio boasts lots of room for the little ones who may be entertained with fun finds as tea sets, wooden blocks, sock monkeys, a retro play kitchen, and a kids table and more. Justyna captures children’s expressions when they are busy doing what they do naturally do: playing. She enjoys engaging in pretend play and getting down on the floor with kids. That’s how she rolls.
