Very loved and adored, little Penny is a very lucky little girl. She’s also a very pretty baby – pudgy cheeks, perfect pouty lips and round eyes. Yes, she definitely has has parents wrapped around her little fingers!

I’m playing catch up with all the recent photo sessions I didn’t get to post. Here is one of my favorite little boys. He’s all boy - funny, giggly and on the go all the time. I remember photographing him at just as a 2 weeks old newborn, merely a year ago, and recently I got to celebrate his first birthday. How fun! May you have many more fun birthdays!

I met up with a family I’ve known for a long time in the Monona Skater’s Park. What cool place it is! No wonder it’s so popular. This family is growing again so these 2 siblings will become a “big sister” and a “big brother x2″ soon. I’m so excited to continue documenting their family’s changes. We chose a late afternoon time to capture the golden glow of pre-sunset. I’m so glad we did because the light was just gorgeous. Don’t you agree?
I really enjoyed the photos and am wondering about your rares and such… my daughter turns 3 tomorrow and I am the mom that gets photos every 6m to 1 yr.

You may have heard the news already, my husband and I are expecting another child in July. We already have a daughter and we’ll be adding another one to our family soon. I wanted to share with you some images that capture our expanding family, meaning my growing pregnant belly. These were taken in April. Hopefully soon we’ll get more portraits of our whole family awaiting the newest addition with much excitement.
For now, we’re busy preparing for another baby like shopping for fun baby stuff and more. I’m glad we still have a couple of months to go because my “To Do before the baby gets here” list has many things to be checked off yet. My 6-year-old, on the other hand, is having a hard time relating to the length of time a pregnancy can take. I guess 9 months is a long time when you’re so young. She’s very excited about meeting her little sister in the future and asks almost with daily frequency “When is the baby coming?” I’m considering making her some kind of a count down calendar that would help her with the wait and show number of days left. If you have any suggestions or links to crafts ideas with a baby count down calendar, please feel free to share with me in the comments.
I will not be available for photography sessions starting July 15th, returning in September. In the meantime, my assistant will reply to email and phone inquiries so please don’t hesitate to contact us to schedule your fall session. Fall dates always book in advance due to popularity.
For now, I’m still scheduling sessions for June and early July, only a few spots left. The weather has been so beautiful, it’s very enjoyable to be outdoors. Join Funky Monkey Photography for some outdoor session fun!
