He’s about to start walking but for now he was thrilled to be pushing and riding in the wagon. He’s also a fast and efficient crawler, I was impressed! I may have rolled around on the ground just to stop him from crawling past me a few times to his delight (see first photograph below, I’m shooting from the ground and he’s trying to get pass me to my right). I was glad to find out he hit it off right away and I got lots of smiles from this little man with white blond hair and sky blue eyes. Thanks for taking me on your family walk around the neighborhood!

A monkey, frogs, trains, sticks and boys

That’s what playing with little boys pretty much consists of. Since this was the 2nd time this year I got to see and photograph this dynamic duo of brothers, we started playing right away and had loads of fun. From finding a (toy) frog in the grass, playing with the wooden train set under the covered wooden bridge, “mowing” with their plastic mowers (one for each brother of course), it was one chase after another. After the session, their mom wrote me that she doesn’t know how I do it (keep up), she was exhausted after our adventure. She had to chase one of the boys while I took some one-on-one shots of her other son.  It is true, our “playdates” or photo sessions are as active as the kids are – I enjoy chasing little kids around and they get such a kick out of it, I can capture their adorable spontaneous expressions. It pays off in the end because their mom also mentioned she keeps coming back to me to capture her boys’ true personalities and expressions.

Fall Frolicks in Madison Wisconsin

Are you enjoying the current weather? Frolicking in the fall leaves is so fun when it’s sunny and pleasantly warm outside. I’m spending all day today at a local Madison nature reserve creating memories for my clients. Fall is the most anticipated season in portrait photography. Many of our repeat clients book their fall family photo session way in advance to make sure we time it during the optimal color and weather season.

This fall join me in a local park or a wooded area to create memories of beautiful colors and family fun. We’re scheduling limited Fall Frolicks photography sessions for children and families in Madison, Middleton, Verona, Waunakee, and area. Mini sessions available! Fall farm photos Madison WI

Every fall for the past several years I get to spend a little bit of time with a happy little guy name Eli. He’s a curly hair very handsome 4 year old who has always been had a laid back, happy personality. He’d shower us with spontaneous smiles and not shy away from the camera, in fact, he wanted and still does want to be photographed. I told his mom Eli is one of the easiest “subjects” to photograph ever. Now I also get to play with his little sister, a beautiful brown-eyed itty bitty girl who just turned 1. She was pretty generous with smiles too. Both the kids had lots of fun exploring the farm and meeting various farm animals. What a great way to spend a warm sunny October afternoon for all of us!

This image captures the “Childhood’s happy moments” for me and I was excited about the gorgeous late afternoon sunlight.
