Newborn Portrait sessions are our specialty. Choose us to capture your baby’s first moments if you’re looking for extensive experience photographing newborns, unparalleled creativity, quality and value of work as well as a personalized experience. Instead of Session Fees, choose from one of the session packages below that include your session and a Digital Image collection.
Simplicity Newborn Session
It’s called Simplicity because the focus on the baby, capturing their expressions and various poses. This package includes a 1.5 hour newborn session and 15 Digital Images for keepsake and printing.
$390 includes:
- 1 – 1.5 hour portrait session allowing us to focus mostly on the baby. Portraits with parents $25 extra.
- Weekday (Tuesday-Friday) portrait session in our studio located in central Madison. Upgrade to a home session for $25 within 15 minutes of Madison. Travel beyond by quote.
- Select from the available props and decor in our studio from baskets, blankets and more.
- Package includes 15 Digital Images printable up to 12×18″. You pick which images you like the best and take the printing into your own hands.
- Additional images and products will be available for purchase during your gallery time available for 1 week.
- Results in approx. 20-25 proof images to choose from in your online gallery.
- Add on a Maternity session for only $100 extra.
Lifestyle Newborn Session
Recommended for lifestyle newborn sessions in your home that include immediate family and to document baby’s nursery and home. This is a great way to document for your child’s first moments at home. The session typically lasts about 2-3 hours as we make sure to capture a variety of portraits from baby solo to portraits with each immediate family member and a family group one. This option allows you the freedom not to have to choose – you will receive all images from the session as Digital Images for keepsake and printing.
$590 includes:
- Custom portrait session in your home or our studio. According to your vision. On your schedule, weekdays or weekends.
- Completely customized experience. Starts with planning of your session from wardrobe recommendations, stylized accents and props, and your choice of location. Everything is custom created and includes full retouching of ordered images.
- Avg. 2-3 hour session time. Plenty of time for a variety of different images of the baby plus portraits with the immediate family members and a group family portrait.
- We bring with us a supply of unique accents and props such as knitted baby hats and diaper covers, blankets and furs, baskets, etc. Accents are pre-planned according to your home decor, style and preferences.
- Results in approx. 40 proof images to choose from. Complete retouching of all ordered images.
- 1 hour consultation in our studio within 1 week from your session to help in image selection, consult with ideas on decorating and product choices. Our clients find this meeting very helpful.
- Complete product offering with unique, boutique quality items including custom designed Story Books, Story Boards, jewelry, wall art, and custom framing. We will guide you through the best sizes for your needs and which crops work best for each image you choose. We make everything easy for you and take care of every detail.
- Free delivery of your ordered items to your home within 3 weeks for most prints and products or 4-5 weeks for custom designed products.
- Add on a Maternity session for only $100 extra.
Scheduling
Reserve your newborn portrait session now with only $195 down to keep your date (this is NOT a session fee, amount paid is applicable to your package). Remainder of the package is due at least 2 weeks before your session.
Since we do a limited number of newborn sessions to allow time and focus for each client, we recommend scheduling your baby’s portrait session in advance. We will reserve time on our calendar based on your estimated due date and adjust accordingly once your little one is born.
To achieve our signature look of sleeping newborn portraits, we photograph babies in the first 6-10 days of their life. If your baby is older than 2 weeks, their portraits will still be beautiful but the baby will be more likely to stay awake and may not fit into some of our baskets.
