Let’s document this very special moment in their life – come for very fun mini-portrait sessions offered this Sunday, 8/28, between 10am and 2pm at Lapacek’s Orchard (Only 23 miles north from downtown Madison on N1959 Kroncke Road, Poynette, WI).

No special outfits or school attire necessary. Just stop by the Funky Monkey Photography booth with your children. Kids all ages welcome!

Besides getting updated portraits by Funky Monkey Photography, you can also get some delicious apples and apple products, and lots of arts and crafts from several vendors at the Craft-Apple-ar event taking place there. This event is put on by the Glitter Workshop, organizers of the famous Craftacular event.

We only have one Saturday left open for sessions in July, and August weekends will go soon too.

Good news: we still have some openings for weekdays, Tuesday-Friday, for our Simplicity sessions (indoor or outdoor). Simplicity portrait sessions are shorter than our custom session yet still packed full of fun for kids and babies. They’re also a good fit for maternity portraits.

Summer allows for so many fun activities that capture the spirit of childhood. I like to custom plan the experience for each client and child. I have so many ideas, we’ll choose based on what your little one is into.  Let’s get into something fun like bug catching, flower picking, frog chasing, bike riding, bubble blowing, tea parties, super hero adventures, getting messy with paint or mud, or whatever your kid is into.

“How to photograph your children and family naturally”

Due to a popular requests from our clients, moms and dads, we’ve decided to offer this photography lesson helping you to take better photographs of your own family. Holiday family gatherings, your child’s first steps, a birthday party – whatever the reason, you can now sign up for our class to learn how to make the best of these occasions to record memories with your own camera.

This 4-hour class is designed for beginner to intermediate photography skills (not for photographers or those with aspiration of becoming a professional photographer).

Recommended for

• Perfect for parents who wish to take better photographs of their children or family.
• Beginner to intermediate level of photography.

Not recommended for

• This class is not for those interested in photographing landscape, flowers, still-life objects, pets or macro photography.
• While we will cover basic functions of a DSLR camera, we will not be teaching how to use any specific brand or make of a camera. This is not for those seeking very technical information.
• Not for children. Must be over 18 years of age to sign up.
• This class is NOT for professional photographers or those wanting to become a pro.

Use multiple options:

1. On-site (external drive)

2. Off-site on-line back up service

3. Off-site (burn data to cd’s/dvd’s and put them in a safety deposit box @ your local post office)

Simulate that pending catastrophe by performing periodic restores from your backup(s). get comfortable doing this!
