Thank you to all everyone who took advantage of Funky Monkey Extravaganza yesterday, I was glad to see so many of our clients come back. I’m happy to be seeing you all again soon. I’m also excited about meeting new families in 2012! Here’s to a great year and seeing you soon! I’m currently in the process of creating and sending e-Certificates to everyone who made their purchase yesterday and they will be going out today! In the meantime, I wanted to leave you with a little “Eye Candy”, which is our line of fun to have (and to look at!) photo-related products. This is a “Brag Book” which is an accordion style small album that fits in your pocket, purse, on your desk or a shelf. It’s 3×3″ and it holds up to 10 photographs. … to blog about them. Yes, once the busier-than-busy season starts in October every year, we fall behind on blogging. Or rather give it up for a while so that we can concentrate all of our efforts on our getting our clients their images.

We’ve had sooo many cute families and children this year again! It’s been great to see so many familiar faces and yet continue meeting new clients. We spent lots of time at a Tree Farm for holiday photo sessions. Here are just a few of the fun images I captured recently.

A monkey, frogs, trains, sticks and boys

That’s what playing with little boys pretty much consists of. Since this was the 2nd time this year I got to see and photograph this dynamic duo of brothers, we started playing right away and had loads of fun. From finding a (toy) frog in the grass, playing with the wooden train set under the covered wooden bridge, “mowing” with their plastic mowers (one for each brother of course), it was one chase after another. After the session, their mom wrote me that she doesn’t know how I do it (keep up), she was exhausted after our adventure. She had to chase one of the boys while I took some one-on-one shots of her other son. It is true, our “playdates” or photo sessions are as active as the kids are – I enjoy chasing little kids around and they get such a kick out of it, I can capture their adorable spontaneous expressions. It pays off in the end because their mom also mentioned she keeps coming back to me to capture her boys’ true personalities and expressions.

Fall Frolicks in Madison Wisconsin

Are you enjoying the current weather? Frolicking in the fall leaves is so fun when it’s sunny and pleasantly warm outside. I’m spending all day today at a local Madison nature reserve creating memories for my clients. Fall is the most anticipated season in portrait photography. Many of our repeat clients book their fall family photo session way in advance to make sure we time it during the optimal color and weather season.

This fall join me in a local park or a wooded area to create memories of beautiful colors and family fun. We’re scheduling limited Fall Frolicks photography sessions for children and families in Madison, Middleton, Verona, Waunakee, and area. Mini sessions available! Fall farm photos Madison WI

Every fall for the past several years I get to spend a little bit of time with a happy little guy name Eli. He’s a curly hair very handsome 4 year old who has always been had a laid back, happy personality. He’d shower us with spontaneous smiles and not shy away from the camera, in fact, he wanted and still does want to be photographed. I told his mom Eli is one of the easiest “subjects” to photograph ever. Now I also get to play with his little sister, a beautiful brown-eyed itty bitty girl who just turned 1. She was pretty generous with smiles too. Both the kids had lots of fun exploring the farm and meeting various farm animals. What a great way to spend a warm sunny October afternoon for all of us!

This image captures the “Childhood’s happy moments” for me and I was excited about the gorgeous late afternoon sunlight.

Of course, not every moment caught has to be happy, I enjoy a moody image now and then.

Big brother got a “Baby Chic” sister now.

Who’s very sweet and has brown eyes just like him and can walk now!

The Princess and the Frog Prince

Ribbit. Ribbit. This little frog is super handsome. He’s only 6 months old and he just learned how to sit up all by himself. His big sis, aka the Princess, is very fond of him. She lights up when she sees him and he does too when she enters the room. It’s a very sweet feeling it is to watch siblings’ love for each other, since I’m the only child and only have one child myself. Not to mention, they’re both quite adorable! I’ve been very lucky to have photographed them since before their birth, and I cherish every time I see them and look forward to watching them grow.

And even though the Prince is not always the happiest…

He cheers up pretty easily!

A girl with a great personality

She definitely has one. A great personality. A sweet, endearing little girl with golden hair and chocolate brown eyes. Full of joy, spunk and smiles. A girl who loves books and letters. Too young to talk yet so expressive and communicative. One of the things I like about this age of children is they don’t act in front of the camera – they are who they are, very in the moment, ready to play and have fun. Thanks for playing, Ella!
