n October 2008, Funky Monkey Photography will donate 10% of your order to Operation Smile in your name in participation with PPA (Professional Photographers of America) “Portrait Family Month.”

We have a special occasion to give to those who are less fortunate than us by donating 10% of our portrait sales to Operation Smile, a charitable organization dedicated towards healing children born with facial deformities and do not have the means to afford medical care. For every $240 donated, we help doctors create a smile for one child.

To help raise money for this charity, we will hold
$75 Special Edition Children & Family Sessions that include:

- 1 hour of portrait time (see dates for specific locations)
- 15 final images to choose from ready within 2 weeks
- FREE set of 25 designer cards with a purchase of a collection.

These are portrait sessions meant for children or for families with children. Up to 5 immediate family members included in the price. Please add $20 for additional person.

Not ready for a session in October?
We will also donate 10% of all Gift Cards purchased in October. Our Portrait Gift Cards make for a perfect holiday gift for that special family.

Please get to know our style from the portraits in our portfolio to make sure we’re the best match for you and your family.  Funky Monkey Photography offers photography with a tale, a non-traditional way of capturing children stories instead of posed portraits. Through interaction and imaginative play, we show children in their element, as they are at this stage of their lives.  Inquisitive, shy, quirky, funny, serious. We don’t try to get forced smiles.

Mini-sessions must be pre-scheduled in advance. By appointment only.  Session fee due upon booking.  Rain date for outdoor sessions 11/1/2008. Session length is 60 minutes from the scheduled start. Being prompt is important so we can take advantage of the full hour.  Sorry no outfit change breaks available during these limited time sessions. Please book our regular sessions if you desire variety of clothing and a larger selection of images. Gift cards denominations start at $200.  Prints will be ready before December 12th IF orders are finalized and paid for by 11/15/2008. 100% rush fee applies to expedited orders.

We are very happy to announce the GRAND OPENING of our children portrait studio on 202 S. Dickinson St, Madison, Wisconsin! All I can say right now is come and see it for yourself on Sunday, August 17th, between 1 and 4pm. We will have families and children over for a play date to celebrate our grand opening. Lots of gifts, prizes, games, face painting, and yummy food. Just bring yourself and your children. More info coming soon.

Did you know summer is the best time for family portraits? Everyone’s color is just a little bit better, we tend to move more and look better. Last year’s holiday season was very busy and we’re planning better this year. We will have one mini-session day in September to be held in our Madison studio. We will also offer early bird special collections that include designer holiday cards. And lastly, we will stick to the following deadlines for ordering and delivery:

Last holiday session to be held by: 10/17/2008 (Limited sessions available only, booking now)
Orders for prints & cards from clients due by: 11/7/08
Orders to be fullfilled (delivered) by: 12/10/08 (Except specialty items such as albums)

Story Books:
If you wish to order a Story Book and receive it by December 15th, your session would have to take place by 10/1/08 and you order be in by 10/20/08.
