Hello Madisonians and Suburbanites:

If you haven’t booked your holiday photo session yet, it’s time to do it now! I still have a few openings left in November.

Since we’re approaching the holiday rush, I wanted to clarify some deadlines we have to get our orders done before the holidays.

Orders must be placed by December 1st.
This will allow time for the photographer to prepare and finalize your order to be ready for printing, plus the lab’s processing time and shipping time. During this season, everyone has extra workload and usually lags a few days compared to other months. This deadline will allow enough time for your prints to arrive before December 20th.
If you need them before then, please contact me so we can figure out your timeframe.
Please note specialty items such as coffee table books, photo albums, canvases, and some accessories require additional lab time, sometimes even 6 weeks. These items are not expected to arrive before Dec. 20th.

Latest holiday session date is November 18th
If you are looking to get your photos and cards printed BEFORE the holidays, your session date must be scheduled sbefore November 18th.
We ARE booking into late November and December as well but those orders will not be ready before holidays (Christmas).

Custom photography demands the highest quality from the photographer and the labs we use. We don’t rush our sessions and we don’t rush our processing time to ensure highest quality.
Our typical photo processing time is 2 weeks, which includes artistic rendering and handcrafting of each photo, preparing its output for variety of formats from internet to printing, and backing up each file in multiple formats.
After you order, we select the photos you ordered and process them to the selected sizes and formats, then send them to labs.

Lab processing and shipping can take another 1.5 week, depending on quantity and size ordered. Sometimes this time is longer, especially during holiday rushes. The photographer then carefully reviews your order and packages it for presentation to you.

I hope this helps everyone see why custom photography needs to be ordered in advance of holiday deadlines.
