Baby Jens is the third baby born into this wonderful family and the third baby I got to photograph for them. What a wonderful feeling it is to be invited into the lives of families to witness them change and expand. He’s already very loved and adored by his siblings, as evident in the family portraits below. You may remember his gorgeous mama with him in her belly from this post and his siblings from this recent one. Welcome to the world, baby Jens!

Birth Photography, Meriter Hospital, Madison Wisconsin » NEWBORN CHILD PHOTOGRAPHER MADISON WI – FUNKY MONKEY PHOTOGRAPHY - [...] I got a call at 10 pm at night with the most wonderful news. Baby # 3 was about to be born to this wonderful family. The big sister and big brother were tucked in already, grandma came to get them to stay with her overnight. Mom’s bags were packed and dad was driving her to the Meriter Hospital in Janesville. I was to meet them there. Nervous and excited, hoping not to miss it, I packed my gear as fast as I could and took off to meet them at Meriter. I got there on time. The baby took its time to enter this world so we had time to wait and prepare. We waited in the labor room with one grandma and an aunt too. Time seemed to go stand still for a while. The parents didn’t find out if it’s a boy or girl, so the wait was filled with anticipation. Finally, early morning, mom’s labor started to progress. Soon enough, a baby boy entered this world, and what a beautiful baby he was! What a wonderful surprise to everyone in the room. When I looked around, everyone was overtaken with emotion, present in the moment, tearful, happy. What a beautiful way to start life. Welcome to the world, baby Jens! [...]
