Expectant in Madison, WI

You may have heard the news already, my husband and I are expecting another child in July. We already have a daughter and we’ll be adding another one to our family soon. I wanted to share with you some images that capture our expanding family, meaning my growing pregnant belly. These were taken in April. Hopefully soon we’ll get more portraits of our whole family awaiting the newest addition with much excitement.

For now, we’re busy preparing for another baby like shopping for fun baby stuff and more. I’m glad we still have a couple of months to go because my “To Do before the baby gets here” list has many things to be checked off yet. My 6-year-old, on the other hand, is having a hard time relating to the length of time a pregnancy can take. I guess 9 months is a long time when you’re so young. She’s very excited about meeting her little sister in the future and asks almost with daily frequency “When is the baby coming?” I’m considering making her some kind of a count down calendar that would help her with the wait and show number of days left. If you have any suggestions or links to crafts ideas with a baby count down calendar, please feel free to share with me in the comments.

I will not be available for photography sessions starting July 15th, returning in September.  In the meantime, my assistant will reply to email and phone inquiries so please don’t hesitate to contact us to schedule your fall session. Fall dates always book in advance due to popularity.
